Decoda, a dynamic collective of musicians acclaimed for virtuosic and imaginative performances, strives to inspire the next generation of musical artists to reimagine their role in society. This program, highlighting music for winds and piano, is anchored by Mozart’s Quintet for Piano and Winds, which the composer himself regarded as one of his finest. Additionally, beloved wind sonatas by Saint-Saëns are paired with fresh, genre-defying compositions by some of today’s most compelling voices, including Pulitzer Prize-winner Caroline Shaw.
